Small Box

Difficulty - Medium

Materials

  • White flower textured wrapping paper
  • 1-1/2-inch wide white satin ribbon
  • 1/8-inch wide satin ribbon
  • 6 small white flowers cut from a wedding pick
  • 1 white tassel
  • 2 silver rings scrapbooking accent rings

Instructions

  1. Wrap a box in white textured wrapping paper.

  2. Cut a piece of the 1-1/2-inch wide satin ribbon long enough to wrap twice around the entire width of the box plus 3 inches. Wrap the piece of ribbon around the box at a diagonal, crisscrossing the ribbon on the top of the box and glue the overlapping ends on the bottom of the box.

  3. Cut a 14-inch piece of the 1/8-inch wide ribbon. Feed one of the tails under the center of the wide satin ribbon where it crosses and tie the two tails together into a knot to cinch the ribbons together. Trim the ribbon tails to matching lengths, cutting them at an angle.

  4. Glue the tassel string to the center of the ribbon.

  5. Glue the two rings together so they are slightly overlapping.

  6. Glue the rings onto the center of the ribbon.

  7. Glue three flowers on each side of the rings slightly overlapping the petals.

Gift Bag

Difficulty - Medium

Materials

  • Medium white gift bag with stiff handles (plain gift bags are inexpensive and easy to find at your local craft or party store)
  • White flower textured wrapping paper
  • 1-1/2-inch wide white satin ribbon
  • 1/8-inch wide satin ribbon
  • 6 small white flowers cut from a wedding pick
  • 1 white tassel
  • 2 silver rings scrapbooking accent rings

Instructions

  1. Cut a piece of the flower textured wrapping paper the entire size of the front of the gift bag.

  2. Apply glue to the wrong side of the craft paper especially around the edges. Attach the paper to the front of the gift bag, lining up the edges of the paper with the edges of the bag.

  3. To cover the handles, apply a small amount of glue to a few inches of the back of the ribbon and wrap the ribbon around the handle where it meets with the inside of the bag.

  4. Continue to add glue to the ribbon, a few inches at a time, as you continue to wrap the ribbon around the handle, slightly overlapping the ribbon.

  5. Finish by cutting the ribbon and gluing the end behind the handle where it meets with the inside of the bag. Repeat this process with the other handle.

  6. Cut a piece of the 1-1/2-inch wide satin ribbon the entire width of the front of the gift bag. Glue the ribbon to the front of the gift bag 2 inches from the top. Small amounts of glue can be added to the cut edges of each side of the ribbon to prevent fraying.

  7. Cut an 8-inch piece of the 1/8-inch wide satin ribbon. Fold it in half and cut the ends at an angle.

  8. Separate the tails and glue inside of the center top fold making an upside down V shape.

  9. Glue the folded edge of the ribbon tails to the front of the bag onto the top of the 1-wide white ribbon strip, centering the ribbon under the handles.

  10. Glue the tassel string to the center of the ribbon.

  11. Glue the two rings together so they are slightly overlapping.

  12. Glue the rings onto the center of the ribbon.

  13. Glue three flowers on each side of the rings slightly overlapping the petals.

  14. Fill the bag with layered tissue paper.
